This hackathon workshop offers an experience which builds upon one of the following prerequisite courses or equivalent experience building ASP.NET and C# applications. Students should also have experience with the Microsoft Azure platform and a basic understanding of the services offered. Students will take an existing web application and enhance their knowledge by adding new features implemented with new and advanced Azure services.
Complete a web app using Machine Learning to predict travel delays given flight delay data and weather conditions. Plan the bulk data import operation, followed by preparation, such as cleaning and manipulating the data for testing, and training your Machine Learning model.
Evaluate a large organization's current infrastructure deployments in Azure and identify single points of failure. Attention will be given to making the customer's current deployments more resillient and communicating best practices to ensure future deployments will follow best practices.
Set up and configure Continuous Delivery within Azure using a combination of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS). Students will do this throughout the use of a new VSTS project, Git repository for source control, and an ARM template for Azure resource deployment and configuration management.
